ZombieMod 4.0

Hey guys, im apologize beforehand if theres already a topic bout this but ive mulled over the topics and i havent found one.

K, i installed meta mod, zombie mod, and followed the instructions to the point. When i type rcon cmds likes meta and meta refresh or meta list or meta whatever, nothing happens. No error, no text, no action, no nothing. So, i read all the forums i could standing, trying every possible fix, but nothing has worked. Both a friend and i have looked over the folder and the text for hours but we havent found anything that would be a problem, and we havent deviated from the instructions. Its weird cause meta just simply doesnt respond or do anything at all, but theres no error. If anyone can help id really appreciate it!!!!

Are you sure the line is in the gameinfo.txt?

yeah, ive double and tripple checked the gameinfo.txt, and ive tried all the different variations

I also made that sourcemm.bat file and ive checked that my gameinfo isnt being rewritten, which it isnt. Still no luck though. Its the weirdest thing, coz its kinda like meta is there its just not responding. Could mani be interfeering? I installed mani before i installed meta

Have u installed metamod correctly to your server ?

The following files should be present:

cstrike/addons/metamod/bin/server.dll
cstrike/addons/metamod/metamod.ini

the line in the gameinfo.txt should be places above the others like this:

yup, i got
addons/metamod/bin/server.dll
addons/metamod/metaplugins.ini

the ini file has the line "addons/zombiemod/bin/zombie_mm"
and the gameinfo.txt lloks like

{
GameBin |gameinfo_path|addons/metamod/bin
Game |gameinfo_path|.
Game cstrike
Game hl2
}

Yet still no luck, when im on my server and i type meta in console, it says
<unknown command> "meta"
and when i type "rcon meta" or "rcon meta refresh" or "rcon zombie_mode 1" nothing happens at all. No error, no activity, and no crash

Typ it in the server's console and not in your own console or by rcon, and if you have rented your server etc than use hlsw.

ive tried rcon, and i knew that typing it in my client wouldnt work i just gave it a shot out of hope. What do you mean servers console? isnt it the same as rcon? My server is rented, from ClanServers.

Also, i tried installing meta on my PC just to test it out, and even afther fiddling with the files for a while it crashes as soon as the server gets to "Sending Client Info" or w/e.

What is HLSW? In the meantime ill google it

alright, so i found hlsw and i installed it. I connect to my erver and connected to rcon and it said everything was successfull. When in the servers console i typed meta or meta list, still nothin occurs, theres no text feedback at all it just sits there. Also in the "metamod plugins" tab theres nothing there and the buttons are greyed out.

I would be more than willing to let someone temporarily connect to help me fix this, someone like cOLd or w/e

after spending 7 solid, yes SEVEN SOLID hours i fixed it!! IM SO FRIKING HAPPY

it was something totaly different, but thanks for your help any guys, oh and btw, GREAT MOD cOLd





P.S. once i started using hlsw i noticed my server was linux not windows: ka-whoops! since i was browsing with windows i couldnt tell the difference
