Connection Error?

Post by Benzino »

Ok, I have browsed the forums and FAQ and haven't seen anything on this matter.

I correctly installed MetaMod Source and installed everything for Zombie Mod.
I know it is installed correctly, because when I type "meta list" into the console, it comes up with the zombie mod.

Now, when I start a server, I type in "rcon zombies" to enable zombie mode.

I get an error message saying the following:

"Unable to connect to remote server (0.0.0.0:0)"

This tells me that both MetaMod and Zombie Mod have been installed correclty, but that there is one little thing not right.

Has anybody ever seen this before? What I am doing wrong here?

I browsed this site and forums along with the FAQ and have not seen anything on this.

Thanks!

Did you rent or make this server, if either one. Check to make sure you forwarded PORT 27015 TCP. That will fix the rcon issue.

Its my own server.
I'll take a stab at forwarding the port.
I use Zone Alarm and have given Steam and CS:S full access to use the Internet/Local Network.
I've never done this, so I will google port forwarding and go from there.
Thanks!

I found an online guide for my router and forwarded the port exactly as it said.
I still get the error however.
I am wondering if I didn't forward the ports right (doubtful) or maybe its something that I am overlooking.
