No one is going to help you if you are not going to try helping yourself in the first place.

1 thing the support faq is wrong.

don't add a folder in the addons called cfg...
Cus the installation on main page says 'addons/CFG/metamod/metaplugins.ini'
It should be 'addons/metamod/metaplugins.ini' and have this line in it...
addons/zombiemod/bin/zombie_mm
Things to check, don't save the metaplugins.ini as a TXT FILE! This was my problem. The name was metaplugins.ini but it was a txt file so save it as a (RTF) if your using wordpad not a txt document.

Tips:

make sure your gameinfo.txt in the main 'cstrike' folder is correct.

It should look exactly like this at bottom, if doesn't then replace it with this 1.
SearchPaths
{
GameBin |gameinfo_path|addons/metamod/bin
Game |gameinfo_path|.
Game cstrike
Game hl2
}
Also check your metamod version. Don't just replace the metamod.dll with the new 1, you have to delete the folder its in and download the new version from sourcemm.net and when you check that .dll properties it will have 3.0.0.1 (I think*) It should be that, but it may not. This was a problem that i had which causes the 'NOFILE' or 'ERROR' when you type 'meta list' in console.
